Giving Thanks Where Thanks Is Due!
December 2008 Newsletter
In this season of thanksgiving and giving I would like to say thank you to some of those special people who help educate our children and adults in Biblical principles. We are blessed with over 900 people in our Sunday School, more than 225 kids in AWANA, 450 plus kids each year at VBS, there are anywhere from 250 to 300 adults in Equipping the Saints, 170 kids in Mom’s Morning Out, and 60+ kids and 56 mothers in Mother’s of Preschoolers. These classes and ministries require 112 Sunday School Teachers, 75+ AWANA leaders, 160 VBS leaders, 15 ETS teachers, 13 lead teachers and 11 sub teachers in Mom’s Morning Out, and 25 teachers in Mothers of Preschoolers. This does not include Sunday School Outreach and Care Group Leaders, the teachers for Sunday School and evening classes at Limestone Correctional Facility, or for day and evening classes at Lindsay Lane Baptist church. God has blessed us with many hundreds of people to be taught and a few hundred to teach them. We praise the Lord for each and every person and especially for our teachers!
On January 10th we will host an appreciation banquet for the education teachers and leaders. We called this the 2009 Education Leaders Kick-Off Banquet. This is just a way to show in a small way how much we appreciate our education teachers and leaders. All Teachers, Outreach Leaders, Care Group Leaders, AWANA leaders, VBS Leaders, MMO Teachers, MOPS Leaders, and their spouses are invited to attend.
David Francis, from LifeWay with be the guest speaker, the group Praise 24 will lead us in praise, there will be video testimonies, door prizes, a great meal, and much more!
